Fifty years from dream to nightmare

The rogue Left exercises control over the entire country and Americans have no choice but to try to survive. In the name of social justice, the Left calls for violence and bloodshed against their perceived offenders. In the name of social justice, the Left follows rogue leadership which has seen fit to trample the rights of entire segments of the population, e.g. women, Christians, etc. In the name of social justice, the Left wants the country to keep a Socialist Chicago thug in power, one who will stop at nothing to further his agenda, and he does so with the blessings of Congress.

It’s quite ironic that during this week of celebrating the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech, the racial divide in America is greater than it has been since the Civil War. Barack Obama says that Dr. King would have approved of Obamacare and Jesse Jackson says that the Tea Party is the resurrection of the Confederacy, and with multiple crises in the middle east, the world is on the brink of war. This is far from the peace and tranquility espoused by Dr. King.

Our three greatest cultural influences—churches, schools, and public libraries—were founded when we were still carving our civilization out of the wilderness. Compared with Europe, the United States culture must have been considered savage and empty; devoid of manmade creations, such as art, statuary, buildings, and metallurgy.

Yet, in education today, educators do not want students to study the true history of their country. They do not want them to be culturally well-rounded. They don’t even want them to be able to master their own language. Curricula are being dumbed down in order to accommodate students who cannot or will not put forth the effort to pass their studies. The concern is pushing these students to a passing grade on a standardized test; at the expense of their education. Dr. King would not approve of this.

The leaders of the black community, I take offense at this moniker, will not stand up and denounce the dumbing down of American school students. They will not advocate charter schools or school vouchers for private schools. They will not denounce the rise of black on white crime, and the Leftist talking heads prop them up on their television and radio shows. They won’t denounce the breakdown of the family, nor will they comment on the outrageous behavior of teenagers. Dr. King would not approve of this.

Students are not being taught to build minds and characters of their own. They are expected to regurgitate spoon-fed ideology from left-wing MLKMemorialliberals who tell them what to think, what to feel, what to say, and how to live. Educators gloss over the basics and provide snapshots of material. They, alone, have decided what little students should be exposed to in order to fulfill a mandate. And, once again, Dr. King would not approve of this.

I recently looked at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, and I don’t really approve of it. Personally, I think whoever paid $100M for the monument really got ripped. The statue of King looks more like Juan Williams. I don’t think Dr. King would approve of that, either.
